While this second chapter of Donuts on Sunday explores some similar ideas from the first, the overall execution as well as the finer details within are very different. If Chapter 1 was an adrenaline-fueled party, Chapter 2 is the hangover in the morning. Being more guitar oriented, there are pieces of clarity and distortion that either clash with each other or overpower a specific track altogether. While a sense of order is desperately trying to be maintained, the only thing it stays consistent at is acting like a mess. And it also can loop back into Chapter 1, showcasing a sort of unhealthy cycle of being subjected to tiresome exhilarations, and afterwards feeling lost and confused. But hey, that's just the way I see it.
